After the years of struggling his way through the poker circuits Anthony Barret had finally given up all hope. Until one night while practicing a few hands at a table by himself a dark figure came and sat at the table. He made a wager with the Tony, "How about we play a game of high-lo? If you win I’ll give you the ultimate skills in poker. If I win then you'll hafta come work for me." Tony was down on his luck and figured hey why not. As the cards turned something unexpected happened. They both got the same card, two jacks. When Tony went to ask the man what this meant he was gone. The next day Tony was sitting at a table and with almost a sixth sense he knew the cards before they were even dealt. I guess he won? But as the game was about to get under way a gang busted into the casino to rob it. Tony leapt from his seat to fend off an attacker and punched him with such force he was launched across the room. His fists shrouded in a dark black mist it seemed supernatural this strength that surged through him. Perhaps he lost after all? Whatever the case Tony would use the skills given to him not only to further his career in the poker circuit but take it to the punks that walk the streets of Paragon City. Even when the chips are down Cardshark shows the gangs that a pair of fists always beats a full house of goons!
