Born March 6th, 1975 Kimberly Marie Carr was your typical child. Throughout her childhood up until high school she was just a nice average girl with no special abilities or powers. During all of high school her and best friend Jessie Ann Hopf was inseparable. They had all the same classes, did the same sports, and hung out in the same group of friends. But then came college, while Jessie went onto a small university for bio-chemical engineering, Kim decided to become an English Major. After three years of college she set sail into the world, and met a nice man named Vincent Amador. They spent a lot of time together, and by the age of 20, Kim was pregnant with a child. This is when everything seemingly went wrong! Vincent split at the first sign of trouble, and Kim was left alone, without a father for her child, she had to move back in with her parents. After a few years of raising her child and balancing night classes she earned her English degree and decided to become an English teacher. Plans were cut short however when her father died, leaving her behind a large sum of money, enough for her to get her own place. She moved into Steel Canyon by a Magic Shop with her little girl Holly. Teaching at Paragon Middle School as an English teacher, Kim spent the next 6 years doing this, until Holly’s 10th birthday in February. One day while outside tending her small garden Kim came upon a tiny panda bear rummaging around in the dirt. She went in to have a closer look and saw that it was a stuffed panda, but somehow animated. She went to pick it up, and it shot a smog into her face knocking her out. When she awoken she noticed small lightning bolts jumping from finger to finger on her hand. She jumped up and saw the tiny panda on her shoulder, and heard him speak to her. It turns out the spirit of a Circle of Thorns mage was trapped in this stuffed animal by the Magic Shop owner. The mage gave Kim these powers in order for her to help him out, by returning him to his own body! Kim used her powers mostly for super housework, but soon realized in a city like Paragon she could be a super hero! She took up the moniker of Magenta Bolt! With her motherly personality she gained the ability to heal those around her and herself, along with her electric powers she became a force to be reckoned with. Her daughter Holly also gained these electric powers when she was touching the panda. From than on the mother/daughter team decided to keep Paragon safe for the populous.
On August 13th 2006 she officially registered at Hero Corps for her Hero License and began her journey to become a true Heroine. She also registered her daughter Holly with the name Holly Lightning, but set restrictions on times allowed to Hero being so young.
On August 30th 2006 she became familiar with the city and gained lots of new friends including General Winter, Syndralina, SuperAli, Evora, Kwik Blade, Scryer, Lord of Hellfire, and ViolentPassion.
On September 22nd 2006 she met Justice Hawk, Razana, Night Talon, Great Mongo, V33, Psibyrd, Moriko, Nova Devil, and Victor Helix, among lots of others to form the Justice Avengers of Paragon!
On December 2nd 2006 she married her boyfriend at the time Chris Robertson, a local photographer for Paragon Times. In a small ceremony their stood both civilians and heroes side by side for the festivities.
On December 19th 2006 she came upon the frozen body of Lucka, the Circle Mage that’s spirit was trapped inside the Panda. She did a ritual to reunite him with his body and he was so grateful that he turned himself into M.A.G.I and now works closely with Azuria to help stop the terrible Mystics in Paragon.
On January 18th 2007 she was hired on as an English Professor at Paragon U Croatoa Campus. While there she spends her off time studying up on inventions and mentoring a young girl named Eden whom has strange powers herself. Eden, or Orchard as her hero name, has the ability to control Plant Life.
On February 2nd 2007 she helped Nova MD and ViolentPassion to create the new super group “Majestic Knights”.
On February 15th 2007 as part of the Valentine’s Day event, she was given a special pair of wings to become a Guardian Angel to protect DJ Zero’s portal from the fiendish Snaptooth. Although not a real Angel, she has the ability from here on to transform into this Angel form, complete with real feathered wings.
On May 9th 2007 she gained many new good friends in Kay Parfait, Sniper Khat, Zakshade, Yukiro, Microsonic, Combat Priest, Trauma Tek, and Scionic.
On July 13th 2007 she had her second child, another daughter she called Anna Lynn. Anna, like her father, exhibits no supernatural powers.
On October 22nd 2007 she joined the fight against the Rikti Invasion by becoming a “Impromptu General” in charge of keeping new heroes in order as well as alive with her healing. After helping keep the streets safe for a few months, the Rikti’s full scale attacks stopped, but their presence is still felt.
On December 1st 2007 she tried to foil a plot by an unknown adversary which turned out to be her best friend from school Jessie Ann Hopf. Going insane trying to compete with Magenta and gaining superpowers herself she tried radical experiments and turned into a horrible abomination with Ice Powers and massive spikes bursting from her body. She took up a moniker of Frostrix and escaped to the Rogue Isles after he plot was ruined by Magenta.
On January 13th 2008 she helped form her own Supergroup with friend Kay Parfait called Cinnamon Aura.
On May 21st 2008 she joined the Midnighter’s Club after a mysterious trail leads her to a man named Montague. She is currently working in the underground lair beneath the universities of Paragon City trying to discover ways to eliminate such threats as the Rikti, Lost, and Circle of Thorns.
On March 2nd 2009 she came face to face with a Praetorian version of herself from an alternate dimension. Named Magenta Blitz this terrible similarity escaped from the dimension back with Bolt and is now hiding out in the Rogue Isles.
On June 28th 2009 she traveled through dimensions using a portal by Hero 1’s time capsule. With a band of heroes she stood against Paragon City’s mightiest villain Reichsman. Using modern technology they developed a gun to sap his immortal powers and swiftly defeated the 5th Column uprising.
On November 4th 2010 she took an undercover job for Arachnos and began her path toward villainy, or so they thought. She garnered trust in Black Scorpion, was given her own Arachnobot army, and was contacted by the Well of Furies in order to become an Incarnate. She fought valiantly against the Praetorian threat pushing them back from their invasion from tasks by Apex and Tin Mage and began her path toward immortality.
-Still Being Played Out, So Major Events Could Come between 2011 and 2014-
-Through the use of the Ouro Portals, crucial events about Magenta’s life were revealed to her! And while there is still time to change the future, as set in stone now this is what shall pass!-
On November 7th 2014 she had a terrible run-in with a large group of Devouring Earth monsters and was sent into a coma for several weeks. When she awoken she found that a Kheldian had merged with her body to save her from the brink of death. Her vocal chords severely damaged, she is unable to speak and uses telepathy to do so. She took up a new moniker Magenta Rebirth, a Warshade!
On March 29th 2016 at the age of 41, during a fight with a deadly Archvillain Sirocco Kim Carr was killed in battle. Her daughter Holly witnessing this went berserk and her hidden powers within her unleashed in a flurry of lightning and death. She not only killed Sirocco, or so she thought, but the small band of heroes with them including Lady Allure. Holly left battered and without a mother set off into exile hoping to hide her powers from unleashing and hurting anyone else.
On April 13th 2017 little after a year since Magenta’s death, her other daughter Anna Lynn at the age of 10 decides that after school she is going to carry on her mothers legacy by inventing a suit in which she can control lightning.
On August 2nd 2022 Anna Lynn Carr finishes up college and fulfills her promise to her mother. With the help of her Uncle, a scientist for Crey, she finishes her Electric Suit. She dons a cape and mask, and takes up the name of Magenta Bolt so a new generation of Heroes can know her tale!
-Alternate Timeline’s suggest a different course of events, including Holly going back in time from her exile under the name Bethany Gamotal in order to save her mother from going to fight Sirocco and the impending Coming Storm when all Kheldians are wiped from Earth. With her triumph the Holly of this timeline did not go into exile, but instead grew up with her mother and lived on to find her own love in a young boy named Tommy, who also had superpowers with lightning and had the name Sugar High. Also in this timeline Anna Lynn grows up never having to take up the mantle of Magenta Bolt and goes on to become a leading scientist for Portal Corps in Peregrine Island at the age of 23. Magenta herself retires from being a hero at the age of 55 in the year 2030 and settles down to have a normal life with her husband away from the hussle and bussle of Paragon City. They move to the mountains in Vermont where nobody is aware of her powers. Holly remained in Paragon with her husband Tommy and had two children themselves, a girl named Eden with no powers, and a boy named Taylor who exhibited lightning powers like Holly as early as 8. Holly remains at home with the children and has retired from being a hero while Tommy continues to take it to the criminals of Paragon City as Sugar High.-
