Tomas is a nondescript man with no outstanding features. He keeps his nearly black hair cut short, and his face is kept clean-shaven. His eyes are a deep brown, resembling dark chocolate. He is exceptionally fit, though that is due to the sword's magical regeneration, which has boosted his metabolism as well.
Description: Tomas Columbo is a fourth generation Mexican immigrant. His extended family moved to Paragon City early in the 1930's. Shortly after that, his grandfather, a young man of seventeen, ran away to the Rogue Isles to take up a life of petty crime. Whilst there, Arturo Columbo fell in with the Warriors, taking up a pair of matched blades that imbued their bearer with a life-leeching magic. Becoming a supervillian, Arturo called him self Blood Razor, and entered the fray as a consumate Stalker, taking jobs that pushed him further and further over the edge.
In order to distance themselves from their wayward father, Tomas' parents fled Paragon and headed north to Boston, where they took up jobs and restarted their lives. Tomas was born to them, and he grew up into a happy, if slightly overweight young man.
Around the age of 19, he received a large package in the mail. It was a solid, heavy metal case that was locked with a pair of combination locks. Finding a note attached that gave him the combination, he cautiously opened the case. Inside, there were a pair of matched blades. The edges seemed dull, and the metal was a dull, unornamented gunmetal color. Picking them up, he felt a surge of power, and an overriding need to do great evil. Steeling himself, he instead told himself he would use whatever power was in these swords for good, as his parent's had taught him.
His first order of business was to discover the powers of the swords. He spent the better part of a week between classes, using every movement and saying every gibberish word he could think of. Near the end of the week, when he had almost given up hope, he received a letter in the mail. Upon reading it, he learned that the swords gifted the owner with regenerative powers. Taking up the swords, he took them down to Paragon City in an attempt to become a super hero. Unfortunately, during the Breakout in Paragon, the hero Coyote noticed that his weapons resembled those of the original Blood Razor. Inadvertantly, Coyote made the wrong connection and immediately called in Ms. Liberty to apprehend the 'known' criminal.
Tomas has spent the last five years in the Ziggurut, appealing the courts and waiting for a chance to clear his name, when Colonel Pentecost approached him regarding the "Blackguard".
