Ice Helix's short life has been filled with tragedy.

Two years ago the Fusioneer Fire Helix was kidnapped and cloned by the Rikti in an attempt to learn to control the Earth's Ley Lines, as that is where the hero draws his power.  However the imperfect clone couldn't control fire, but could control ice and heal.  Fire Helix and his "brother" Ice Helix escaped from the Rikti cloning lab and Ice joined Fusion Force.

Shortly after joining Fusion Force, Ice's molecular structure broke down and his powers transformed.  He could fire Ice blast and manipulate ice in other ways. 

He always felt he was in the shadow of his brother, so he decided to leave Fusion Force for a while. 

Six months later, lost and hungry, Ice was approached by Kalinda, an agent of Arachnos.  She promised him power beyond anything if only he would work for Arachnos.  He didn't realize he had no choice in the matter as he was under the Fortunata's mind control.  He was tortured by Arachnos and his powers augmented.  He dominated the Rogue Isles for a short while and even joined Shadow Syndicate.

When Fire Helix found out about his brother he lead a team to the Rogue Isles and saved him.  Due to his unstable DNA and the Arachnos experiments, Ice now appears several decades older than Fire Helix.  A transformed hero and a better man, he now has a renewed resolve to help Fusion Force protect Paragon City from evil!

Ice Helix is currently working undercover as the Malta Operative known as Omega Blue Helix.
